aarhus (feb) 2004-02-03 -- 11:19 a.m. Living in Europe has been quite good for my writing. I’ve been writing poetry like mad and I’ve been having heartfelt self-revelations about marriage and other life-altering decisions. This time away from Raph has been interesting, and will be interesting. I keep thinking about all the people I’ve met and if I should be searching the world to replace something with which I am already happy and satisfied. I miss the boy more than anything. In fact, I think he’s one of the only things I miss. Other things float to the back of my head and out my ears. I quite like it here, it’s quiet and lovely and the people are the same. I can breathe here – it’s not like Toronto, where there is smog all around. * * * 2004-02-08 this morning we had our weekly canadian brunch and it was great. i LOVE our canadian brunch. it's the best thing. all the north americans prepare pancakes with maple syrup for ourselves and other people we've invited. it's so nice, because i miss going out for brunch/brekkie so much! i miss going to that awful restaurant at the end of granby and reading the sun and watching tbs. * * * kokkenvagt. whatever that means :( 2004-02-09 someone put a note on my cupboard. it says KOKKENVAGT! and there is a red circle with a piece of crumpled up paper under it !!! i'm SO SAD. i don't know what that means! do they think i'm a dirty litterbug?? (it means kitchen. i was on cleaning duty)
