adventures in berlin

2004-04-25 -- 10:06 p.m.

Berlin was my favourite city. It's cheap, fun, and just the right balance between a stoic history and a thriving youth culture. Before I visited, I didn't really have any interest in going there, now I can't wait to get back. Look below for journal entries, pictures and tips about Berlin.

i think the reason everyone thinks germans are scary is because they say "die" all the time!

BERLIN TIPS

- Take the metro to Hackescher Markt. Walk around. Just do it. You'll thank me.

- When you get to the train station - Ostbahnhof, there's an ice cream stand on the way to city busses. The ice cream costs 75c and it's the best you'll ever taste.

- Take a walking tour.

- Look for food on Simon-Dach Str.

- Click here to find some other city info.

- I stayed at The Odyssee hostel, which I would recommend if you're looking for a nice, quiet time. The Circus seemed much more like a party hostel.
