things i don%t like about europe: the keyboards, the lack of public (free) toilets. that%s all i can think of right now - and that%s mostly because i%m typing on a keyboard and i really have to pee (even fast food places charge 30 cents to pee.... :P oh - one more thing: the radio. one word: bad.

this is my last day of the travel period. i%m taking the night train tonight from brussels to hamburg to aarhus... i have to say: i can%t wait to get back to the slow aarhus life after my long trip.

i have nothing to say about brussels, to be honest. i treated myself to a night in a very fancy hotel for my last night and it was a welcome rest after the disgusting hostels and crappy beds i%ve become accustomed to. therefore, i spent most of my time in brussels in a big comfy bed eating belgian truffles. call me what you want, but i enjoyed it.

i think this city (brussels) has the most obvious signs of poverty that i%ve seen throughout my travels. women here have no qualms about using their children to garner cheap sympathy while begging for money.

yesterday, while i was walking down a fairly touristy street, i felt a tap on my shoulder. behind me stood a women with her two girls. the oldest girl was grabbing my shoulder, pointing at her mouth, saying, "please, please, please" and the youngest, about five years old, started grbbing me, doing the same.

i had to run away! and they chased me! it was by far the creepiest experience of the trip, these two kids grabbing me, trying to grab the chocolate i was eating out of my hand.

anyway, besides that, the city has proved rather uneventful. i%m tired and eager to get back to aarhus to see what the other girls have been up to on their travels.
